Samsung Phones Beat Apple!

NEW YORK: Samsung Electronic Co hit the market by surprise when it shipped more smartphones than the darling in the industry, Apple! The latest ratings based on quarterly sales of both manufacturers, and the figures clearly outline how Samsung has outrun Apple.

The sales analysts believe that this is the normal trend of Apple, Inc. as it has been doing so from the start and there is always a lack of available equipment. Apple sold 17.1 million iPhones in the third quarter, 3 million fewer than expected. Samsung, meanwhile, shipped more than 27 million, according to analyst estimates.

Apple's latest iPhone, the 4S, didn't come out until the quarter ended, so its sales are not included in the figure. People held back on buying older models in anticipation of the new iPhone, which came out Oct. 14. Apple said it sold more than 4 million units in its first weekend on sale, and that should be reflected in the tally for the current, holiday quarter.

The most common issue outlined is the lack of models available for Apple when compared to Samsung. Apple currently ships only Iphone 3GS and 4 when compared to Samsung's Conquer, Replenish, Focus and Indulge. IHS estimates that Samsung sold about 40 different models during the third quarter.

Although the Seoul based Samsung doesn't publish the official count of phones that are exported, but the estimates are that the 17.3 million phones are in market from Samsung. Although when compared to revenue, the Apple still holds the upper hand as Samsung does have the options for both cheap phones and high end models, which the company considers as a broader spectrum of users in its reach. 

Apple also holds the top notch with the brand still dominating the tech world for its shear quality, where Samsung does show a single model Galaxy to the league.

Although the competition continues between Samsung and Apple, the real leader in the market is still the Finnish company, Nokia, who sells 16.8 million phones this quarter which is three times what Samsung or Apple has done in the same period!

Arjun Mark II to go for Second test

CHENNAI: The major fighter tank for Indian Army is now undergoing a renovation and the army is closely watching its changes as the CVRDE or the Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment is scheduling its second test in another three months time, reported DRDO.

The tank will undergo a total of 56 changes from its predecessor and the initial tests on the tank has been quite satisfactory. "We have incorporated 56 of the total 89 improvements recommended in Arjun Mark II after the last test in Pokhran in Rajasthan. We are hopeful of the next test which is scheduled in December this year or January next year," they said. 

The testing will also include the firing of Lahat Missile, which has a range of six kilometers. 

Some of the major improvements include changes in the commander's panoramic sight with eye safe LRF, night vision, driver's uncooled thermal image, digital control harness, new final drive for increased weight, new track and sprocket. 

"Once Arjun Mark II comes out successfully through the integrated testing in June next year, the production of the latest version of Arjun tanks will start in Heavy Vehicles Factory," the sources added. 

Indian Army has ordered 142 MBT Arjun Mark-II which would be ready for commissioning within a couple of years.

Android Icecream Sandwich leaked!

The much awaited version of android 'Icecream Sandwich' seems to have leaked through a Samsung mobile that got sold over ebay. The claim is done by a customer who had purchased the Samsung Nexus phone through ebay and this came pre-loaded with the latest android OS. The customer had took several photos and also uploaded videos of the menu and other features of the new OS. 

The incident was reported on Engadget, the new OS does show a lot of similar features to Honeycomb OS, dedicated to the tablet PC's and the Gingerbread version of the OS. Reports suggest that new features include a Movie Studio app, an app called "People," which is said to be a "Contacts" update and "Backup" and "Reset" options. The OS will also reportedly pack a revamped look for notification bar, camera UI and other menus. There are also speculations that the OS will feature four shortcuts on the bottom in contrast to two found on vanilla 2.3.

The new version of Android seems to be a mix of both tablet PC and mobile and might be a universal version of the OS. The preview of the OS was shown in May, at the Google I/O conference. Recently the chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt at Salesforce.com's Dreamforce conference revealed that the Icecream Sandwich release of Android OS will be on October or November.

We are expecting the release to be done in October 11 when Samsung will be hosting the ceremony "Samsung Mobile Unpacked: Google Episode' to release its latest version of Nexus Smartphones.

iphone5 Feature expectations!

What is it gonna be?

Tomorrow is the date expected by apple aficionados for the long wait they have been doing for the iphone fift generation, the phone has been much talked about and there has been many fake fan videos displaying space age features to iphone 5. Here are the most probable and expected features of iphone5 based on the enthusiast reviews. 

This has no connection to the official release, which is expected to be on October 4, 2011. The phone is certain to run on a dual core processor and have a bigger screen to sport with, but here are the expectations from various communities

1. The majority of enthusiasts doesn't expect a major design change to iphone5, it might be still the same as iphone4. A major 'boo' will be such a situation as people have been dreaming of a slim phone from iphone4, but the better part of this design renovation will be that the accessories that got made for iphone4 will still be usable!

2. Iphone 4 still holds the flag when it comes to camera on smartphones, but it might be the vision of apple developers to introduce a LED flash or similar innovation to the phone which might keep the phone out of competition.

3. The least expected but still awaited feature is the Apple Thunderbolt, the highspeed I/O network from Apple on to iphone 5. The limited specs of Apple iphone 5 does make it tough to be integrated.

4. The iphone 4 although does include a 30 pin to HDMI port device, it is still missing a micro/mini HDMI built in port, this has been highly in demand but has not been fulfilled yet, the latest release might see a built in HDMI port! Since the 30pin to HDMI is still being used in imac and ipad, the possibility of it vanishing is still unlikely, but we expect a change!

5. Iphone 4 has been stuck with only one video format in use, it being mp4. In the latest release we expect the extended support to divx and other formats. Although there are many converters available over the internet to change the formats, but a built in support will always be welcome. This is an expected feature as most of PC's and Imac's have already worked out on this!

6. There has been much talks about the design of iphone4, aficionados are expecting a slightly curved screen for iphone fifth generation which might look great if the design of the phone is altered too. We already know how well the designs from Apple comes in, so it might be cool to have it!

7. The proud feature of iphone4 was the high resolution display which is one of the best compared to the other smartphones in the league, the current resolution is 960 x 640 with 326 ppi. We can hope that the resolution does improve in the next phone but the current draw back is with the iphone store which might not function OK with any other resolution!

8. Some of the features of iphone4 has been prominent for a while, the demand for a stereo FM, Wifi- Direct connection and DLNA media streaming is strong and it will be nice to have this features built in. Currently these features are enabled using Apps or third party hardware.

9. The storage will be another feature that might look for an upgrade, it might break the barriers of 8, 16 or 32 GB to a 256 or 512G flash disk. The high expectations are to have a unlimited storage for the device which might store the data on to the cloud storage and access the data using 3G network or Wifi

10. Finally with faster processors, iphone 5 can look forward to implement a feature similar to bootcamp on imac which should allow dual boots on to windows or Mac on boot up, a similar feature can be implemented on iphone with the option of booting android or iOS, this might drive all the android fans on to iphone 5!

The expectations are high and we will have to wait n see what it unveils to be!

Honda Introduces Brio

NEW DELHI: Honda introduces itself to the budget car market with the new model named Brio, which is a compact car under the 5 Lakh segment. The model will be priced between 3.91 Lakhs and 5.1 Lakh for the premium car under the segment. 

The car will be giving in tough competition to the competitors like Hyundai i10, Maruthi's Wagon R and Chevrolet's Beat, which does fall under the same segment. The company also targets an export of auto parts to a sum of Rs 112 crore this fiscal, Honda is currently doing business in collaboration with Siel and Honda Siel parts are already in demand.

HSCI  CEO and president, Takasi Nagai was excited with the launch of Brio and mentioned that the car is designed for specific customer needs. Currently the company plans to give in four variants, the company representatives did mention that at the moment 70 percent of the parts are created in India and it hopes to reach 90 percent by the end of this year. This is how the company plans to keep the price low. 

Honda Brio engine comes in only one model and that is 1.2 liter Ivtec that is used in Honda Jazz. Its 4 cylinder unit makes 90 Bhp of power at a lofty 6000 rpm while the torque figure is 110 Nm at 4800 rpm.

The design of the model resembles the leading brands like Maruti or Chevrolet's Beat, but the innovation is the full glass pane on the rear which does seem to be exclusive to the car. The car does have a 14" wheels although the price of alloy wheels might still depend on the variant.

Bill Introduced in US to stop aid to Pakistan

WASHINGTON: A key American lawmaker from Texas has introduced a bill at the US house of Representatives to freeze all aid to Pakistan. If the bill gets passed then US will be stopping all aid to Pakistan with the exception of funds to safeguard Nuclear power.

The Congressmen Ted Poe mentioned "Ever since the discovery of Osama Bin Laden in Abottabad, Pakistan has proven disloyal, deceptive and a danger to the United States" he was speaking with respect to the resolution, when introduced in the house. "This so called ally has been taking billions in US aid and at the same time help militants who attack us. The United States should stop all aid to Pakistan" Poe continued, Ted Poe is a member of House Committee on Foreign affairs. 

The congressmen said that the Pakistan government will continue its policy of duplicity and deceit and pretend to be an ally of US in the war on terror and still extend its support to extremism. 

Mike Mullen, Chairman of Joint Cheifs of Staff, mentioned that just this month the Pakistani government supported the militant groups that were behind the truck bomb that injured more than 70 US and NATO troups and also who was responsible for the attack on US embassy in Kabul. Poe said that the resolution has been sent out for Foreign affairs committee for necessary action.

It is only after this key Congressional committee approves the resolution that it will be sent to the House of Representatives. 

Notably only a few resolutions enter the House of Representatives.

The New DND Guidelines

New Delhi: From today 27th of September 2011, the new guidelines for Do-Not-Disturb services are in effect which are set by TRAI or Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. The guidelines have been formulated considering the privacy of each individual and to avoid spam calls or text messages on to phones. The previous attempt towards the same goal in 2007 had failed terribly, when the government had prepared a Do Not Call Registry. This time TRAI has made more strict stance and this new set of guidelines does give hope that the rule will be more strict.

Although this new rules had missed many guidelines, there is still high hopes on its implementation and further the TRAI has revamped the registration norms for telemarketers. The following are the effective guidelines:

• Each telemarketer will be assigned with a distinct series of number starting from 140.
  
  
• The penalty has been increased from Rs. 500 to 25000 and on the sixth penalty the fine can be as high as Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
  
  
• Telemarketers can be blacklisted for two years following the sixth violation. This means that the service providers will be barred from providing any telecom resource to the blacklisted marketers.
  
  
• There will be restriction on the count of SMS or text messages from phones. The limit for prepaid users is 100 per day and that for postpaid customers is 3000 per month.
  
  
• No Calls or messages will be permitted from Telemarketers from 9 p. m. to 9 a. m.
  
  
• Dial or send an SMS to 1909 to register with NCPR or register at www.nccptrai.gov.in
  Choose categories of commercial messages/ calls to be blocked. Those already registered with National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC), need not re-register.
  
  
• The following categories of messages are blocked:

Android Flaw Exposed!!

NEW DELHI : All those 'droid' users who felt like they were above any hacks n flaws be better careful with the installation of device as there has been two new reports of android flaws which might even cause you to loose control of your device and hacker should be able to send out messages or calls to all premium and contact numbers. 


According to researchers Jon Oberheide and Zach Lanier, the first flaw, which affects all Android devices regardless of OS version, allows the installation of applications without users' approval. Considered as "permission escalation vulnerability," it affects all Android handsets regardless of the OS version.


Another vulnerability is with the Samsung Nexus S handsets. It allows hackers to gain root access and then gain full control over the handset. 


Over the past few months, there have also been several reports of Android phone users being hit with malware that sends text messages, makes calls to premium numbers and leaks personal information about the user. 


Earlier in August, CA researcher Dinesh Venkatesan revealed information about an Android trojan that was reportedly capable of recording conversation. According to Venkatesan, the trojan recorded conversation after a user clicked on the install button on a message that appeared almost identical to the application's installation screen.

Delhi Blast : Tremors through city.

NEW DELHI: There has been tremors of the blast and all metros are now put on high alert following the bomb blasts near Delhi High court. The injured toll has now reached 50 and the medics mention that the count might rise up. There are more injured people brought to the casualty and the RML is now crowded with relatives and dependents of the injured.

A 13 member NIA squad is now at the blast spot to assist the investigations of Delhi police. The report is that the home minister will be giving the official statement within few minutes from now. Prakash Mishra, director of NIA has confirmed the arrival of the team and also there will be a team from NSG who will be assisting in further investigations.

Police suspects pottasium nitrate being used for the bomb. The catastrophic events has given a ripple through the home ministry, as the blasts were accounted to be similar to the previous with only change in the count of deaths. There has been questions raised over intelligence reports too.

Home minister has mentioned that it is impossible to find who is responsible for the act at this stage and the although Mr. Chidambaram has requested people of the country to stay united against this terror act. He also added that we are determined to catch the perpetrators.

Indian Army Unhealthy?

NEW DELHI: Alarmingly the news has been flashed as the latest survey done by Indian Council of Medical Research and Defense ministry on 767 army officials including 130 officers showed that one-third of the officials were in overweight category and two-thirds had a low HDL or good cholesterol level which is an indication of low metabolism or exercise.

The research also showed that many of the officers were suffering from pre-hypertension symptoms which was also alarming for the army. The study also revealed that the bad eating habits of the army personnel were increasing the risk as most of them were used to eat pickle or ghee or added salt to their food.

The study also mentioned that 40-60% of Indian population does show the symptoms of pre-hypertension but in the army sample the count was alarmingly 80%. The pre-hypertension factor is calculated by measuring the mildly high blood pressure - 120-139mm Hg systolic pressure and a diastolic pressure of 80-89.

Narendra Modi the next Prime minister?

NEW DELHI: The wikileaks cables continues to make the ripple through Indian politics. The recent one was for the Gujarat Cheif Minister Narendra Modi and it claims that Mr. Modi is eyeing at higher posts in BJP and would eventually become the Prime Minister to India. The cables mention that Modi is making use of his influence across Gujarat to make a strong influence in the National leadership. 

The recent cable that was released last week says " Modi is using his strong base in Gujarat to position himself for the power struggle in BJP and to crow about Gujarat's investment-friendly ( but not minority friendly) records".

The cable was sent by US Diplomats to the the US government following the rising status of the BJP leader across the country. The cable was sent in  association with the rejection of his Visa in 2005. The assessment from 2005 does show that Narendra Modi is rising as the most powerful and one of the most influential leaders from BJP and could very well be named as the Prime Minister. 

 "In a BJP beset by internal struggle, Modi's revival sets him up nicely to influence the kingmaking when the time comes. Having recovered from the crisis invoked by our visa revocation and his tyrannical management style, Modi is positioning himself as a national leader by reminding people that Gujarat has done a fine job of economic governance, notwithstanding the black stain the (2002) riots left," a cable says. 

Modi did utilize his star image for the 2009 elections but this was the game on for Congress and allies.

Soumitra Sen's Resignation Accepted?

New Delhi: The recent turn of events which did lead the way to the first impeachment in the history of India seems to be not happening as there has been news that the resignation of the Soumitra Sen of Calcutta Highcourt. There has been no official confirmations on this yet, but the acceptance will eventually cause the Lok Sabha from dropping the impeachment which was scheduled.

Mr. Sen was impeached by the lower house or Rajya Sabha last month, following which the Justice had submitted resignation from the current post. There was a similar scheduled to be organized at the Lok Sabha in the coming session. Although the legal advice confirm that there wouldn't be a need for further proceedings but there are political voices strong to continue with the proceedings.

The official sources mentioned " The Department of Justice had sent out a notification to the assent of the president for acceptance of resignation of Justice Soumtira Sen and this was signed by her as soon as she was back from Hyderabad".

The notification has been sent to Miera Kumar, the hon'able speaker to Loksabha and she will be consulting with various political and legal advisers before the meeting of Lok Sabha happens on Monday.

China Prints Quran with Mistakes!

Tehran: Recently the Government of Iran had issued contracts to Chinese publishers for printing the Holy Quran and this seems to have caused trouble to the government. The Mehr News agency has reported that the copies that have arrived Iran are full with spelling mistakes.

Many publishers in Iran had asked the issue of contracts to Chinese publishers as the cost for publishing was found to be low. Ahmad Haji-Sharif, the director of the department of evaluation of Holy Quran mentioned that the books are littered with mistakes and cannot be approved.

He said that " The copies were cheaply made in China and was sent at a much higher price than what it cost for printing the book". He added that "If customers find that the actual cost of the book is much less and the current one is full of mistakes they will opt for the Quran published in Iran and with no mistakes.

Iran has high quality printing presses and publishing firms, with around 1,000 of them publishing the Quran, he said. "So why should we send our publications outside Iran?" he asked.

'Prevent' Policy agitates Muslim Students

London: UK universities have been asked to report students 'vulnerable' to radicalization to police. The vulnerable term is being defined as depressed and isolated and this is part of the 'prevent' policy in effect by the police to fight terrorism. The prevent policy was announced in June.

Police and local authorities are reported to be visiting universities gathering the information. Following this the student unions and lecturers have expressed their unease on this move as a one that could affect the privacy of students and also expressed concern over the student liberties. The National Union of Students have asked universities not to inform details to police unless a valid warrant is produced. The Union of universities and colleges have made it clear that they will not police their students and also take any steps that might erode the bond between university and students.

Reports mention that Prevent officers met London University's goldsmiths college students' union president and inquired about Muslim students and the institution's Islamic society.

"We were appalled to have Prevent officers asking us to effectively spy on our Muslim students," the union president said. He described this "morally repugnant". He asked, "Why are Prevent not also telling us to refer on students who have irrational hatred of Islam?"

Oracle vs HP : Break of Trust

San Francisco: Oracle Corpt accused Hewlett Packard of concealing facts during negotiations of the two companies according to a court filing. The recent case between two companies is the latest salvo on the ongoing litigation on the Itanium processor.

Itanium processor is a powerful processor from the Intel Corp, recently Intel had announced that the processor will be discontinued and following this Oracle had mentioned that there will not be any further support on the processor. This had made HP to announce the decision from Oracle as 'anti-customer' act and had issued a statement on this. HP had sued Oracle at the in California stat court in June. 

Also the litigation had increased with the hire of Mark Hurd, former chief executive of HP who had to leave due to an allegation with a female contractor. In return HP filed a law suit against Hurd for Trade Secret lawsuit. HP and Oracle had arrived at amicable settlement and the suit was discarded. 

HP had also concealed the fact that it was hiring Leo Apothekar as the Chief Executive and Ray Lane as its Chairman and Oracle claims that they were concealing the fact during the agreement on lawsuit. 

Apotheker and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison have long been rivals from the time Apotheker headed European software maker SAP AG. HP Chairman Ray Lane and Ellison had a troubled relationship from the time Lane was fired from Oracle in 2000, according to the filing. 

In response, the spokeswoman for HP,Mylene Mangalindan mentioned that the Oracle Corp is making blatant excuses for its legal obligation to the joint customers. Other claims asserted by Oracle against HP include defamation and intentional interference with contractual relations. Oracle seeks rescission of the Hurd agreement, general and punitive damages and other remedies. 

The case in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Santa Clara is Hewlett-Packard Company v. Oracle Corporation, No. 11CV203163.

Windows 8 in preview

San Francisco: The Windows Division president, Steven Sinofsky revealed another glimpse of the successor to Windows 7 technology, which is code named Windows 8. The introductory speech by Sinofsky mentioned that now windows will be re-engineered to provide the ultimate performance, he also added that the new version of the OS will be able to operate independent of the device in use. The new windows operating system is designed to work on mobile phones, tablets, slates and PC's alike.

"We have made the operating system to a gem by adding a ribbon of commands that were not familiar to non-power users of Windows and will be available in the form of commands" Sinofsky mentioned. "Windows has provided its users the first feel of desktop and here we had improved on the most used software in Windows (besides Solitare) and made it more powerful" he added on his blog.

The windows explorer is expected to be much more advanced than the previous versions and it will also include Internet explorer 10 which is also said to play major part. The OS will also be using touch tiles instead of icons for navigation and opening of applications, which is a feature derived from WinOS.

Sinofsky also added that more features will be revealed in the upcoming developers conference in Anaheim, California, opening on September 13.

The first preview was provided on June, the programming head of this project is Alex Simmons.

HP Touchpad might get second life!

LOS ANGELES: Following the announcement of dropping the touch pad series in August 18, the company has now decided to give a second line of production to meet the unfulfilled demands of users. Earlier when HP had announced the demise of its touch pad series there was a rush at stores which did have the last pieces available. The decision of the HP management was following the Apple Inc's boom on the tablet market where HP found no space to stand in competition.

The company has also slashed the price of tablets from $399 and $499 to $99 and it is also mentioned that this will be a second line production and they will not be commenting on the quantity of products that will be shared across the market. The company reviewers mention that the tablet does hold parts which might add to a price of $318 and this production line might cost the company too much. The shares of HP had slashed by 20 per cent when the company had announced the halt on production of tablets, this might help the boost but the recent markets have been slow to react on the announcement.

The company had plans to launch WebOS which was dropped later following the stop on production for tablet PC's. The Mafatlal Case takes new turn

Mumbai: Madhuri Mafatlal, the 78-year old tenant of the Mafatlal Bungalow filed a case against her Daugher-in-Law under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. The act was against the baseless accusations by Sheetal, Atulya Mafatlal's wife who had earlier lodged complaint against Madhuri for domestic violence.

The twist happened on tuesday when the Mafatlal martiarch approached the magistrate's court in Girgaum. She has requested to restrain Sheetal from entering the 10,000 Sq. Ft. second floor of the Mafatlal Bungalow where the family has been residing since early days. The bungalow was one of the top two Bungalows of the city till late. Madhuri is also seeking orders from preventing her daugher in law Sheetal from alienating her from any of her assets and committing acts of violence against her family and communicating with her.

In 2005 too, Madhuri was forced to move to court when the 'security guards appointed by Sheetal' was kept at the room doors of the 78 year old. She complained that this was pure violation of privacy and a great insult to the heir. This case was against both Atulya and Sheetal, and was also against making her dispossess the property.

Following this, Sheetal had accused Madhuri of physically torturing her and beating her. Madhuri who suffers from Lung Fibrosis and needs 6 hours of oxygen a day to keep herself in shape and also a women who could not make more than a dozen steps was accused of physical torture.

Now Madhuri, expressing her fears of torture has requested the Girgaum court to restrain Sheetal and her relative and her servants from keeping contact with her and also mentioned that the daugher-in-law had filed in a false complaint against her. She also has requested protection from the court to avoid any action against her following the complaint from Sheetal which might result in dispossession of the property. She has been a tenant of this from 1954.

The court has now appointed a protection officer to analyze the details of security and have issued notice to Sheetal and has postponed the case to September 8th for further hearing.

Standing Committee Review on Lokpal

New Delhi: Today the standing committee of the Parliament will be reviewing the Jan Lokpal Bill draft and other three drafts of the Lokpal Bill. This move was named a timely act by the government of India considering the fact that this review will be adding to the details on the future bill to be presented in the Parliament.

The congress MP and spokesman Abhishek Singhvi is said to be the chairman of the 31 member committee, who is set to review the Lokpal Bill. Although the civil society has expressed its concern on the inclusion of members who have prejudice on the Lokpal bill and is set to oppose it from coming into effect. The spokesman to Anna Hazare and civil society, Arvind Kejariwal speculated on the inclusion of RJD cheif Lalu Prasad Yadav and Amar Singh in the committee and mocked them to be referees to the Lokpal Bill issue, he mentioned that they will be opposing the bill. Arjun Singh who had recently changed his party to Samajwadi Party has requested the congress for excluding him from the committee, which is still being reviewed by the Government.

Lalu Prasad had expressed his dislike to Anna Hazare and the civil society and had been speaking quite against the team during the special discussion held at the Parliament of India. He is expected to express his dislike towards arrogance of the civil society for not bringing up the bill directly to the standing committee and keeping the request for direct presentation at the Parliament. Sources from RJD camp does confirm this stand of the minister and is reported to continue the disapproval of the current state of Jan Lokpal Bill.

Civil society has also expressed concern over the inclusion of Manoj Tewari, the MP from Ludhiana, and also the spokesman to the congress party. Tewari is also known for his legal brain, and is a member on JPC on spectrum case. He had earlier attacked Anna Hazare of being corrupt and had later withdrawn his statement and also extended the apologies to the Gandhian leader.

There is expected to be greater participation of the teams as this issue is more publicized with the agitations caused by Anna Hazare, also there is note mentioned that there are few members from congress who are not aware of the complete details on the lokpal draft.

Ranathunga Blames BCCI

Colombo, Srilanka: The former Sri Lankan captain and the cheif of Sri Lanka Cricket, Arjuna Ranathunga slammed on BCCI for its poor management of the team. The captain was speaking in light of the recent defeat of team India in the test series. He said "There is no other foreign effect to be blamed but BCCI for its poor management, the council had not prepared its players for the foreign tour and this brought about the defeat to the country". The Indian Cricket team had lost 0-4 against the England team in the test series held at England.

Arjuna feels that the team was under prepared for the test series and the players were more into ODI's and IPL than the test version of the game. As known to the world, Arjuna Ranathunga is a critic to the IPL seasons and feels that the twenty-20 versions of the game is breaking the attitude of players towards the longer version of the game. 

He continued " After the World Cup players did not rest properly and were rushing to participate in the IPL competitions, we had incidents of players postponing the surgeries for the sake of the game and in a final turn it did effect on the upcoming series."

He also reacted on players who opted out of West Indies tour of India. Although the skipper continued to praise Rahul Dravid for his achievements and also added the tag that he was well prepared!
