Delhi Blast : Tremors through city.



NEW DELHI: There has been tremors of the blast and all metros are now put on high alert following the bomb blasts near Delhi High court. The injured toll has now reached 50 and the medics mention that the count might rise up. There are more injured people brought to the casualty and the RML is now crowded with relatives and dependents of the injured.

A 13 member NIA squad is now at the blast spot to assist the investigations of Delhi police. The report is that the home minister will be giving the official statement within few minutes from now. Prakash Mishra, director of NIA has confirmed the arrival of the team and also there will be a team from NSG who will be assisting in further investigations.

Police suspects pottasium nitrate being used for the bomb. The catastrophic events has given a ripple through the home ministry, as the blasts were accounted to be similar to the previous with only change in the count of deaths. There has been questions raised over intelligence reports too.

Home minister has mentioned that it is impossible to find who is responsible for the act at this stage and the although Mr. Chidambaram has requested people of the country to stay united against this terror act. He also added that we are determined to catch the perpetrators.

Delhi Blast : 9 dead and atleast 45 injured




New Delhi: There is report on a powerful blast outside the gates of Delhi High Court gate number 5 on Wednesday morning, 10 am. The blast seems to be a major one as the latest reports mention that there were 9 dead and 45 persons injured. Delhi Police has cordoned off the area and the fire crew and bomb squad is reportedly on the way to the spot.

The injured people are now being taken into RML and Safdarjung Hospitals. The cause of this blast is still unclear, the investigations are still going on said the Police spokesman Mohamed Akhalaque. The blast took place close to the parliament and the office of the prime minister.

The NIA and NSG is on its way to the spot. The Union Home Secretary, RK Singh has mentioned that the blast happened between the 4th and 5th gate and the reported cause for blast is from a suitcase.

The blast is reported to be the second this year, there was a failed attempt on May 25th of this year and this was an attempted car bomb.
