Beijing: This is not a joke, but this was one of the classifieds that were seen around the streets of China where the marriage bureaus had announced that they will provide a free virgin Vietnamese girl for every runaway bride. The offer was valid for any women that the Chinese men bought from the neighboring country. The country's low sex ratio has brought it upon itself as per latest census there are 118 men for every 100 females.
Chinese men had to move to the neighboring country to get women for marriage but in the turn of events, the brides that Chinese men married from Vietnam went missing after the marriage resulting in both loss of wife and money that the men spent on. This has resulted in the campaign. The report was made by Daily Telegraph which did shock the readers!
"We ensure you that the women is virgin and if she runs away then we will give you another one in an year" the advertisement mentioned. The cost for the option is $32,000. The Chinese entry-exit authorities has confirmed that there has been many cases where the women were bought through agencies by the Chinese people and they fled and were not to be found.
The reports did not hit the police stations as they were buying brides from Vietnam. The latest news should increase the popularity of the marriage bureau.
